Mixed Fruit Smoothie

Day 12

Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t mess up a smoothie. You can…many times over. A little too much orange juice, and it becomes too tangy. The wrong combination of fruit, and it’s a beautiful but bland slushie. I like mine sweet but light. You also wouldn’t believe how unhealthy smoothies can be. They are often extremely high in calories and sugar, yet marketed as a light and nutritious beverage. 800-1000 calories later, and you’ve sipped your day’s worth of calories away believing you were making an honorable choice. Here’s a recipe you can feel good about. But that’s my opinion…and the opinion of World’s Most Complimentary Taste Tester J

Recipe: Serves 4-6

1 banana

1 large peach

1 cup strawberries

1 cup pineapple

1 cup organic fat-free vanilla greek yogurt

1 cup ice cubes
